ASOS officially launched its first standalone Australian site on Sept 15, amid great excitement in its second largest market, outside U.K. When I first read about it, I jumped out of my seat! I’ve been obsessed with ASOS ever since I caught the online shopping bug- it has never failed my expectations. ASOS was also included in my top favourite online shopping sites to buy cheap clothes online, and rightly so. The fashion at ASOS is always on the move- hip, trendy, and very happening, constantly evolving to meet customer demands- much like the company itself, always introducing innovative ways to take the lead in this dynamic world of online retailing.

When news of ASOS Australia first came out, commentators were quick to point out that the site wasn’t any different from its UK store. Personally, that doesn’t bother me at all- as long as I get to shop for awesome fashion the fashionably cheap chic way!

Hurray for free shipping ‘n returns! And hear this- with a local returns centre in Sydney and an entire customer service team dedicated to Australia, things just got even easier for us! Love it!

3. Matching seasonality

ASOS’s Australian site will now be tailored to local seasons. This means, I can shop online for summer clothes in December and winter clothes in July. Easy as!

4. Reduced Shipping time

We’ve all counted our weeks and days and even hours for our shipped goods to arrive, haven’t we? Time passes too slowly when we’re waiting! Well, with ASOS’s Australian site, the shipping time is reduced- down to 8 days from 2 weeks! Fabulous!

5. Aussie Sizing

The Australian site offers localized sizing, making it simpler for those of us who detest size charts and measuring tapes. Don’t we all.

6. Fashion Finder & Marketplace

ASOS’s popular features Fashion Finder (where you can share fashion ideas to inspire, and I’ll say, get inspired) & Marketplace (where you can buy and sell vintage fashion, and discover new designers) will still remain intact in the Aussie site.

7. Aussie twist

The Aussie version will also showcase Australia’s best designers, including up-and-coming ones, offering you a great mix of local and international talent.
